The whole policy in one line: we keep as little as we can get away with, we never sell any of it, and one email to support@alkapics.com gets it deleted.
This page covers alkapics.com. Ordering happens on a checkout page run by our authorised retail partner, and what they collect there is governed by their own policy rather than this one — that page will tell you so before you type anything into it.

What reaches us, and why

Payment card details are not on that list and never will be. They are entered on our retail partner's encrypted checkout and do not pass through us at any point.
What we do with it
- Reply to support messages and process returns.
- Protect the site against abuse, scraping and fraud.
- Understand which pages are read, in aggregate, so we can improve the weak ones.
- Meet the record-keeping obligations the law places on us.
What we do not do with it
- We do not sell it, rent it or trade it. Not to advertisers, not to list brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us about an order.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your behaviour on this site.
Cookies, plainly
A handful of cookies are strictly necessary for pages to render. A handful more are analytics cookies that count visits without trying to work out who you are. Every browser in common use lets you block or clear both in its settings, and alkapics.com works perfectly well if you do.
Who else touches your data
Three kinds of service provider: the company that hosts this website, the provider that carries our support email, and the retail partner that processes orders and ships parcels. Each may only use what they see to provide that service to us. Beyond those, we disclose information only where a law or a valid legal process requires it.
How long we hold it
Support correspondence stays for up to 24 months, so that if you write again we can pick up the thread instead of asking you to repeat yourself. Server logs are kept for a much shorter period, for security purposes only. After that, it goes.
Your rights over it
Depending where you live you may be able to ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it erased, or object to a particular use. Write to support@alkapics.com and we will come back inside 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are first — that step exists to protect you, not to slow you down.
Children
AlkaPic is sold to adults only. This site is not aimed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly hold information about children. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and anything material gets flagged on the homepage for a reasonable period.
